Gym Instructor Courses on Kettlebells to Music: A Unique Spin on a Great Workout

Posted by admin | Tags: Gym Instructor Courses

At first glance, you would think that it is fairly easy to perform a kettlebell workout. After all, are not kettlebells lifted in the same manner dumbbell exercises are to be performed? The answer to that question is a resounding NO. Kettlebells are not meant to be lifted as they are to be swung with the full articulation of the human body. In particular, the movements need to be precise and, in some cases, explosive. This means anyone wishing to take part in a kettlebell workout should do so under expert instruction.

This opens the doors of opportunity for those who just might make the perfect coach. Anyone who has a love for fitness and is always willing to learn new approaches to getting in shape and teaching others to do the same should seek out a program that offers training courses in exercising with kettle-bells.

One thing that never will cease to be a reality in the world of fitness is people always look for better ways to get into great shape. Kettle-bells are not new per say as they were first used in Russia over a hundred years ago. However, they had become somewhat forgotten and have recently been rediscovered. Read full post…

pH Balance Supplements Can Bolster An Alkaline Diet

Posted by Kane Peterson | Tags: Alkaline Diet, Balance Supplements, Diet, Ph Balance Supplements

Say youre trying to maintain an eating regimen that avoids excessively acidic foods. If youre on such an alkaline diet, it may be helpful to take pH balance supplements, especially during the holiday season, when overindulgence can throw such a diet off.

Alkaline foods are known to moderate the bodys pH, preventing it from getting too acidic or basic. According to Diets in Review, eating alkaline foods can help the body maintain a slightly basic pH, which can prevent inflammation and lower the risk of a number of health conditions.

However, it is not always easy to adhere to a diet of alkaline foods and alkaline water. During the autumn holidays, especially Halloween and Thanksgiving, it can be difficult to say no to sweets, heavy meals and acidic foods.

Fortunately, nutritional health supplements may be able to restore a proper pH balance to the blood stream.

Food guidelines for pregnant women need review

Posted by Kane Peterson | Tags: Pregnant Women, Women

A University of Newcastle study has identified a major diet dilemma for pregnant women and those trying to conceive – avoiding potentially ‘risky’ foods while maintaining an adequate nutrient intake.

Researchers found that women who frequently ate a range of foods potentially containing Listeria had a 20 per cent greater risk of miscarriage than those who rarely ate these foods, but also had the highest intake of nutrients essential for a healthy pregnancy.

“This is quite a dilemma,” said lead researcher, Professor Clare Collins*. “It is important for pregnant women to achieve a balance between an adequate intake of nutrients such as folate, iron, zinc and protein, and reducing their risk of Listeriosis.

“In our study, moderate or low consumption of foods at risk of contamination by Listeria was not associated with an increased risk of miscarriage, suggesting that a balanced consumption of potentially risky foods with foods containing essential nutrients may be the best approach.”

Current Australian Government dietary guidelines recommend pregnant women and those trying to conceive avoid raw meat, unpasteurised milk, soft cheeses, pre-packaged salads, delicatessen meats and raw fruit and vegetables as they can be contaminated with the bacteria Listeria Monocytogenes. I

The Medifast diet is a widely accepted program existing for more than two decades now. It is endorsed by health professionals, and Medifast diet reviews abound in the internet. What Can’t Fish Oil Do?

Posted by Kane Peterson

Nutritional supplements can deliver crucial vitamins, minerals and nutrients, helping your body keep its cells in optimal shape. Recently, researchers from the UKs Northumbria University determined that fish oil supplements may improve mental sharpness.

Published in the British Journal of Nutrition, the report announced that taking fish oil which is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids may lower reaction times and prevent feelings of fatigue or exhaustion.

The team determined as much by offering a group of 18- to 35-year-old participants fish oil supplements over a 12-week period. Those who took them tended to display improved neural health.

What is behind this effect? Scientists found that omega-3s appeared to increase vascular flow to the brain, giving gray matter more blood with which to oxygenate itself.

Omega-3s are also known to have antioxidant effects, meaning they can reduce inflammation and prevent cellular damage caused by free radicals.
